CarDon & Associates was established by Carroll and Donna Moore — hence, CarDon. Their family remains personally involved and contributes their talents individually to the construction, development, strategic planning and financial aspects of each CarDon community.

Stephen G. Moore, M.D., has served as the President & Chief Executive Officer of CarDon & Associates since July 2000. Stephen began working with CarDon in June 1996, initially serving as the Director of Strategic Planning, and then later as the Executive Director of Bell Trace, a continuing care retirement community based in Bloomington, Indiana. He is board-certified in preventative medicine & public health and previously board-certified in internal medicine.
Daniel W. Moore became a licensed Administrator in the 1980s and thereafter served as the Administrator in CarDon & Associates’ Health & Living Communities in Paoli, Sullivan, and Indianapolis. Dan coordinated the planning and construction of Bell Trace, a senior living community in Bloomington, Indiana, and the construction of Brookside Village in Jasper, Indiana. He previously served as the Director of Property Development and currently serves as the Vice President of CarDon’s Board of Directors.
David C. Moore began working for CarDon & Associates in 1984 and became a licensed Health Facility Administrator in 1987. David has additional experience obtained while working as a Health Facility Administrator for Unicare Health Facilities (now Extendicare). In 1995, he became Director of Operations for CarDon & Associates, and in 2002 was promoted to Director of Strategic Planning. Since 2002, David has served the state of Indiana as a member of the Board of Directors of the Indiana Health Care Association. He serves as Secretary of the CarDon Board of Directors.
Kathy L. Headley is Treasurer for the company and has served as CarDon’s Chairwoman of the Board since 2006. Previously Kathy served as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. She is a licensed Health Facility Administrator. For four years, she managed a Bloomington-based medical equipment and supply business, and served as Administrator at the Greenwood Health & Living Community for two-and-a-half years.
